alight, still not clean, and impromptu suppers

Three beautiful things from my past week:

1. At the plaza by my office, for the first time in 15 years, the lights are red, rather than white.

2. I did not get the comforter cover changed last weekend, so when Corey threw up all over the duvet today, at least I didn’t have to feel irritated about that.

3. Pizza sauce and mozzarella in the fridge mean that when Rudi suddenly has to work late several nights, I can make French bread pizzas for dinner.

How about you? What’s been beautiful in your world lately?

Every time I have French bread pizza, I wonder why I don’t have it more often. It’s such a simple, delicious meal, and it uses up stale bread. What could be better? (Well, aside from French toast drenched in maple syrup…)

@kathy b: I love clean woolens day, which reminds me that I ought to go wash the bathroom sink and deal with the pile of dirty socks sitting in there.

@Karen: French toast is delightful. I meant to make myself waffles this morning, but I forgot. Maybe I’ll make them for supper tomorrow instead!
