top ten books i’ve got checked out from the library
posted by soe 1:54 am

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday from That Artsy Reader Girl is a freebie, and while I ought to deal with the top ten list from 2022, it’s been a long day and that will take more energy than I have. There’s another freebie week in mid-February, so maybe I’ll aim for then.

Anyway, I figured I could give you ten of the books I currently have checked out from the library that I’m likely to read in the next little while:

  1. Thank You for Listening by Julia Whelan
  2. Whiteout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon
  3. The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff
  4. Gene Luen Yang’s The Search
  5. Now Is Not the Time to Panic by Kevin Wilson
  6. Emily Brightwell’s Mrs. Jeffries and the Midwinter Murders
  7. The Vibrant Years by Sonali Dev
  8. Rachel Hartman’s Tess of the Road
  9. My Life as a Villainess by Laura Lippman
  10. Amor Towles’ Lincoln Highway

What do you currently have checked out from your library?

Looks like you’ve got a pretty good selection checked out already! I haven’t read it yet, but I’m super curious about Whiteout.

I’ve tried to limit how many books I check out at a time for now while I catch up on some outstanding ARCs, so I’ve only got Lost in the Moment and Found checked out right now. :3

Here’s my TTT post.

Love the choice of topics — it’s always fun seeing what people have in the way of library checkouts. And a good reminder that I want to get to Julia Whelan’s book! I hope you enjoy all of these, or as many as you get to (if you’re as easily distracted as me, who rarely finishes everything in her current stack of options before finding new ones).

Speaking of which, my own:

The Pink House – Louise Platt Hauck
Two from Mimi Matthews — The Siren of Sussex and The Belle of Belgrave Square
Two from Elise Bryant — Happily Ever Afters and One True Loves
The Arctic Curry Club – Dani Redd
Texas Gothic – Rosemary Clement-Moore
Gizelle’s Bucket List: My Life with a Very Large Dog РLauren Watt

Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone! (We’re all three reading it before I return it! Eleanor gets to start today.)
I’ve got the Bandit Queens on hold and Portable Magic is on my Kindle.

I hope you enjoy them all! I really liked The Lincoln Highway.
