alive

After sleeping almost all of yesterday, I’m finally feeling alive again. Rudi and I ran full sprint almost all of June between work and Utah, and yesterday was our first true day of decompression in nearly a month. It felt awesome.

I’m behind on a number of things (blogging, work, correspondence, a cd swap (ack!), cleaning, knitting), but I really think that I will get caught up soon. The worst is definitely behind me, and it’s all blue skies ahead!

Busy fun times ahead!

Tomorrow is the 4th, and while we don’t have any special plans for that, we have a lot to get ready for. David has been finishing off the floor around our new staircase, so we’ll probably be working on putting down runners tomorrow.

Thursday is Games Night, a fun relaxing time with friends. Also, Joan and Subby fly in from CT, so maybe they’ll join us for that!

Friday we’re all going out to a Padres game. Seems people visiting like to go watch baseball. This will be my second time in Petco Park.

Saturday is my birthday party. I’ve got drums for people to form a drum circle, and clay for people to make things if they like. I’m still hoping to get a maypole. The idea is a ritual to recharge the earth’s magic and joy. You can help by making sure to spread happiness all day long, no matter where you are. Feel free to take charge of your local branch of the festivities.

Sunday is sailing, all day long for me.

Monday, I just booked the four of us a ride on a Del Mar sunset balloon ride.

Tuesday, the family goes back to CT, and at midnight, Harry Potter opens. I couldn’t find where to buy tickets for the 11:59 showing so we probably won’t be doing that.
