Hey, Corey, we’re going to play this fun board game. It’s called Cosmic Cows.
It’s kind of like Yahtzee, except with cows.
You set the cows up in the middle of the board.
You roll the dice.
You can roll any combination of them up to three times to get the best “hand.”
You move the cows a corresponding number of spaces closer to your space ship.
Then it’s your opponent’s turn.
They can move any of the cows, including the ones on your side of the board, toward their side, as their dice allow.
The goal is to get cows up to your space ship.
Whomever ends up with three cows on their space ship first wins.
You are clearly very good at rounding up the cows!
Ah, I see. You’ve played this game before.
Shall we put this one away and try something else instead?
Great shots. Corey really looks settled in. Quite a gamer.

Comment by Grey Kitten 04.28.11 @ 12:37 pmI bet Corey always wins.
Comment by Karen 04.28.11 @ 1:33 pmCats are naturally of the chaotic inclination. I like to think mine is chaotic-good but there may be evil intent lurking behind all that cuteness 😉
Comment by Kim 04.28.11 @ 2:06 pm@Jenn: He is adorable.
@Rudi: Or at least he certainly thinks so.
@DOD: He is a gamer, but only if you play by his rules.
@GK: He does. We had to adopt a whole different Scrabble philosophy when Della took a similar approach to that game.
@Karen: How did you know?
@Kim: They are! I like to think 8/10 good, 1/10 evil, and 1/10 whimsical.
