broodings from the burrow

The snow began last night around 8:30 and tapered off around 11 tonight, giving us 19.75 inches outside the Burrow.

I have admired the snow, walked (mostly successfully) in the snow, frolicked in the snow, and shoveled the snow. I’m exhausted.

Photos tomorrow.

I envy you your frolicking. It’s still snowing here and it’s so pretty outside, but I have a cold. It’s hard to talk yourself into going out in the cold when you’ve already got the chills, you know? So I’m trying to enjoy the snow as much as I can from my office, the windows of which look out on the woods. I opened one of the windows just long enough to hear the snow whisper. Wonderful. And is there anything more beautiful than a pine tree decorated with snow?

Oh, I so want to go out! Maybe a hot cup of tea will make me feel warm enough to brave the cold temps. I’ll give it a try, anyway.

I hope you continue to enjoy the snow. I can’t wait to see your pictures. Post lots!
