no foolin’ — weekend planning
posted by soe 1:46 pm
I could be fooling myself by thinking I can get all this done this weekend, but I’ll find it a little fishy if I don’t cross any of them off!
- Do more laundry
- Open the window
- Spend time with friends
- Get out to the garden
- Clear off the coffee table
- Change the sheets
- Finish a sock
- Play volleyball
- Go to the farmers market
- Watch basketball
- Buy dish soap
- Swab the kitchen floor (yes, I did this just before we left, too)
What are you hoping to do this weekend?

- Talking on the phone with my BFF
- Playing pickup volleyball with friends
- Shopping at the farmers market
- Getting some writing done
- Putting the Christmas ornaments away

What are you hoping to get up to before we turn the calendar page next week?

ten things to do before midnight
posted by soe 1:14 am
Here are ten last things I’m hoping to cross off my to-do list before the calendar turns over, in no particular order:
- Paint my nails something sparkly.
- Finish reading and return my last overdue book to the library. (They’re closed and won’t know, but I will.)
- Vacuum.
- Make some year-end donations. (Done!)
- Eat ice cream with Sarah.
- Check in with my BFF.
- Get a negative COVID result. (I was on a plane yesterday with a horde of unmasked travellers, after all.)
- Take out the trash and the compost.
- Put away the groceries.
- Listen to new music.

this week’s to-do list
posted by soe 1:44 am
I’m not going to lie: this is going to be a busy week for those of who dwell in the Burrow. What am I hoping to get done, all before my annual tree-trimming party next Sunday, you ask?
- Head back to D.C. from Connecticut
- Learn how to use the 3D printer at the library’s maker lab
- Play volleyball
- Complete a couple of handmade gifts
- Finish cleaning the Burrow
- Kick off the Virtual Advent Tour
- Tackle a couple cooking projects
- Buy a Christmas tree
- Have friends over for dinner and a game night (potentially)
- Attend a seminar with tips for improving your job search
- Grocery shop
- Do laundry
- Make a couple library runs
There are probably some other things that I’m forgetting, but that’s baker’s dozen list as I have it right now.
