A chapter here, a poem there. A different book in each bag. Plus two audiobooks, both L.A. Theatre Works productions, <em>Dr. Cerberus<\/em> and <em>The Great Tennessee Monkey Trial<\/em>, as I wash dishes and do prep work in the kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>What have you been reading?<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/29316530458\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"Freia\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/841\/29316530458_2ed815dbf5.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" alt=\"Freia\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The Tour de France knitalong begins Saturday morning and I don&#8217;t yet have a pattern picked out. I would like to make a shawl and I&#8217;d like to use a couple (or maybe three) of these shawl balls from Freia fine hand paints. They&#8217;re all in the Ombr\u00c3\u00a9 Merino line: 430 yard-long, single ply balls. The colorways are (clockwise from top left) Hard Candy, Vamp, Aloha, and Melon.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t yet have a pattern picked out. Here are a few I&#8217;m considering, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/frozen-sun\">Frozen<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/sea-shanty-5\">Sea Shanty<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/royal-mile\">Royal Mile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/parallelogram-scarf\">Parallelogram Scarf<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/inara-wrap\">Inara Wrap<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/sea-grass-3\">Sea Grass<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>If it&#8217;s helpful, the shawl I wear the most is my Color Affection. I don&#8217;t love knitting feather and fan, so I&#8217;d rather not make a shawl that&#8217;s entirely comprised of that stitch, but I&#8217;m not against a section or two of it.
