I won a skein of Socks That Rocks in Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, which you may recognize from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=7015\">latest pair of socks I&#8217;m knitting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/33525769956\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"Birthday Finery\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/4\/3804\/33525769956_1841071125.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Birthday Finery\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Then, a package from my college roomie arrived containing birthday presents: a delicate necklace and a soft shawl in purple. Also a bow to wear and taunt the cats with.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/33183216650\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"Tea\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/3\/2886\/33183216650_39423c34b8.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" alt=\"Tea\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Every February, <a href=\"http:\/\/portorico.com\/store\/\">Porto Rico Importing Co.<\/a>, a coffee importer in New York, has a sale on their tea, during which time, I order a whole year&#8217;s worth of loose-leaf teas. I was pretty much out of everything (we&#8217;d been drinking mostly Darjeeling since Christmas), so this is more than 10.5 pounds of tea. It&#8217;s been lovely having choices again, but I haven&#8217;t found a convenient place to store such a big box\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/33525768926\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"Ninja Book Box\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/3\/2821\/33525768926_927054bd5c.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" alt=\"Ninja Book Box\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Finally, on Christmas morning I won a giveaway <a href=\"http:\/\/anarmchairbythesea.blogspot.com\">Bex<\/a> held on Twitter that reserved me a spot for her February Ninja Book Box. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ninjabookbox.com\">Ninja Book Box<\/a> is a quarterly subscription service that sends you a parcel containing a book from an indie publisher and other bookish goodies. Her February box was a Shakespearean mystery and included <em>The Bookman&#8217;s Tale<\/em>, tea and a quill charm in an adorably tiny book-shaped box that Corey thought had been sent to him. I&#8217;m looking forward to reading my new mystery (and sharing it with my folks once I&#8217;m done)! And should you be looking for a literary subscription service, I&#8217;d definitely recommend checking Ninja Book Box out.
