{"id":4593,"date":"2013-01-28T01:47:41","date_gmt":"2013-01-28T06:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=4593"},"modified":"2013-01-28T01:57:27","modified_gmt":"2013-01-28T06:57:27","slug":"weekending-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=4593","title":{"rendered":"weekending"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I&#8217;d join <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehabitofbeing.com\/journal\/\">Amanda<\/a> in her weekly summary of where a weekend went:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/8422084961\/\" title=\"Snow on a Ledge by kkfea, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8055\/8422084961_459fd40c37.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Snow on a Ledge\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Snow in the late afternoon\/early evening Friday meant fewer people out and about, allowing me a much coveted table at the local tea house. Chai and naan with my book, followed by tea and a cookie with Rudi.<\/li>\n<li>Finally reached Gramma by phone at the rehab facility.<\/li>\n<li><em>Dr. Who<\/em> (we&#8217;re still several series behind the current one).<\/li>\n<li>Cuddly cats.<\/li>\n<li>Clean laundry.<\/li>\n<li>My cold, as I promised it would be, is on its way out.<\/li>\n<li>Lunch &#8212; a delicious salad with out-of-season blackberries and raspberries &#8212; at a new-to-me restaurant with <a href=\"http:\/\/quesarah.net\">Sarah<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Followed by a remarkably tasty PB&#038;J macaron.<\/li>\n<li>I stopped by the Library of Congress.<\/li>\n<li>And then headed over the river to the library of Arlington (to return materials <em>before<\/em> I accrued fines!).<\/li>\n<li>Rudi, en route home from skiing, gallantly picked me up, saving me from weekend metro waits.<\/li>\n<li>Starting new books and knitting projects.<\/li>\n<li>A quick trip to the farmers market, sun-warmed in the early afternoon.<\/li>\n<li>A teen mystery set in D.C. arrives from a publisher unrequested.<\/li>\n<li>Alone in the car means blasting one of my sing-out-loud playlists &#8212; and pressing repeat on &#8220;Accidentally in Love.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Joining Rudi out in Bowie for the delightful <em>Wreck-It Ralph<\/em> in our quest to see all of the nominees in the animated category of the Oscars.
