{"id":11994,"date":"2022-02-07T01:02:01","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T06:02:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=11994"},"modified":"2022-02-07T03:18:46","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T08:18:46","slug":"first-february-weekending-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=11994","title":{"rendered":"first february weekending"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/51866312422\/\" title=\"Ice on the Canal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51866312422_cdac3aaaac_w.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" alt=\"Ice on the Canal\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t get to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spritewrites.net\/?p=11991\">everything I&#8217;d hoped to<\/a> this weekend, but I did enough. <\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, I spent time with friends every day. <\/p>\n<p>I got outside into the sun both yesterday and today. Yesterday it was for a walk to Georgetown and today it was a bike ride over to NoMa to eat cupcakes with Sarah. I also spent time at the garden, putting my plot to bed. Much like with myself, I&#8217;m doing this far too closely to when I&#8217;ll need to wake it up (peas go in next month!), but better than not putting it to bed at all.<\/p>\n<p>I went to the library, the grocery store, the hardware store, and a couple shops where I didn&#8217;t buy anything.<\/p>\n<p>I got rid of the compost and picked up some produce and bread products at the farmers market.<\/p>\n<p>I ate actual real food and not just cereal straight out of the box (that was Thursday night).<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t do much cleaning or laundry, but I did deal with all the flood-related materials, and there&#8217;s now a gigantic bag of clean, dry towels just waiting for the next time we get two straight days of rain. And I&#8217;ve got a load of clothing ready to go into the wash tomorrow, when fewer of my neighbors will be queueing up for the machine.<\/p>\n<p>While I spent a lot of time reading, I will not finish my book, <em>Beth &#038; Amy<\/em>, before bed, much to my dismay.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the book and the laundry, there are some other things that will trickle into this week, and that&#8217;s as it should be.
