The air and water were both in the 70s. It was sunny, with very little breeze. There were enough waves to make the water fun, but not enough undertow to make it feel fraught.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/51304632725\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"A Goofy Guy Ran into My Ocean Shot\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51304632725_3e864bcdfc_w.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" alt=\"A Goofy Guy Ran into My Ocean Shot\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The beach was already packed when we arrived, but folks start to disappear in the late afternoon. We discovered they were all hanging out on the boardwalk when we went up to buy our ice cream cones just as the sun was setting.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/spriteshoots\/51303813173\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"The Beach at Twilight\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51303813173_919220751c_w.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" alt=\"The Beach at Twilight\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>We found a new-to-us brewpub up the shore in Lewes. Rudi enjoyed a flight of beers, including a sour beer flavored with pi\u00c3\u00b1a colada, and I had a fantastic grilled cheese with peach preserves.
