I picked up <em>iNK BLOTS, Vol. 1<\/em>, by the local <a href=\"https:\/\/dcpoetrycollective.com\">D.C. Poetry Collective<\/a> at Lost City Books on Saturday, as I (and everyone else in the city) was out and about soaking up the rare bluebird day.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Daisies<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;~Vadim Kagan<\/p>\n<p>Who writes of daisies at a time like this,<br \/>\nWhen worlds are quickly coming to an end,<br \/>\nWhen states of fear replaced the state of bliss?<br \/>\nBut daisies are still beautiful, my friend,<br \/>\nAnd golden is the dandelion wine.<\/p>\n<p>Who writes of daisies as we lose the fight,<br \/>\nWhen thousands and thousands are dead,<br \/>\nWhen states are failing, falling left and right?<br \/>\nBut daisies are still beautiful, my friend,<br \/>\nAnd golden is the dandelion wine.<\/p>\n<p>Who writes of daisies when we live online,<br \/>\nAnd die with cabin fever taking hold,<br \/>\nBut golden is the dandelion wine<br \/>\nAnd daisies are as beautiful as ever &#8212;<br \/>\nLet&#8217;s write of daisies.
