This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic at That Artsy Reader Girl<\/a> invites us to share the top ten book events or festivals we’d love to attend someday.<\/p>\n

Who knew back when Jana set this topic that we’d all still be wishing to go anywhere?<\/p>\n

Anyway, mine are all real:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. BookExpo<\/a> (I used to take part in a virtual version — Armchair BEA.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  2. Hay Festival<\/a> (I have been to Hay on Wye on a normal day; I can’t begin to imagine it during a festival.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  3. Edinburgh International Book Festival<\/a> (Scotland is on my list of places to visit, and this event coincides with the Edinburgh Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  4. The Fforde Fiesta<\/a> (The intermittent festival celebrating Jasper Fforde’s works held in Swindon, the real-world home of the fictitious Thursday Next.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  5. Shakespeare in the Park<\/a> (this seems the easiest one to cross off my list once we’re allowed to gather in groups again)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  6. YallFest<\/a>\/YallWest<\/a> (I partook of YallStayHomeFest this spring and loved it.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  7. International Quidditch World Cup<\/a> (Because don’t you just wonder…?)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  8. Utah Shakespeare Festival<\/a> (Oregon’s would also be great.)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  9. Miami Book Fair<\/a> (It’s the oldest book festival in the U.S. apparently. Who knew?)<\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  10. The Youth Media Awards<\/a> (Presented annually at the American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting, this breakfast is where you hear who’s won the biggest and most prestigious prizes in children’s and young adult literature. I went to several Midwinter meetings, but never managed to get to the YMA breakfast.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
