butterfly blooms, cover, and squirming

Dogwood at the Moroccan Embassy

Three beautiful things from my past week:

1. I say this every year, but pink dogwoods always look like a flock of butterflies have paused for a nap in a tree. Cherries are beautiful, but dogwoods just give me that extra burst of joy.

2. Disturbed may have appeared more than a year ago on Conan, but I only came across their performance this week:

3. We had to take Jeremiah to the emergency vet on Sunday for what turned out to be a urinary tract infection (but that we feared was a blockage, which can be fatal). He has three medicines that we’re giving him and the first couple days he was a relatively docile patient. In the past 24 hours, though, he’s become a little feisty and has taken to squirming while we dose him. Clearly, my boy is feeling better.

How about you? What’s been beautiful in your world recently?

I am glad that Jeremiah is on the mend! And, yes – Pink Dogwoods are so beautiful!

Our Roger kitty spent a few days last week at the VCA Emergency. Poor guy is very sick with a combo of heart disease and macrophages destroying his own blood cells. We’re grateful to have him back home with us for now as he seems to have only a few more days left before he’s going to leave us and head off to his next great adventure.

So glad you jeremiah is better. That’s scary stuff. Our little ground cover at our new house is blooming tiny yellow flowers. A frog/toad was back at the hot tub today. I put the toad house out. Grasses are green green green. Cant wait for the leaves to unfurl on all the trees

@kathy b: Thank you. Spring at your new house sounds absolutely lovely!

@Grey Kitten: I know I’ve already told you this, but I’m so sorry about Roger.

@Kat: Thank you! Your white dogwood is also quite nice. It seems to be a good year for them!
