picking, new people, and clean

Three beautiful things from the last week of June:

1. Sarah and I spent Saturday afternoon picking blueberries. Unlike the day we opted to pick strawberries, which was a bazillion degrees with crazy humidity, it was pleasant out and I came home with more than six pounds of berries, half of which Rudi and I have eaten straight out of the bucket in the fridge.

2. My new sand court volleyball team seems nice.

3. I scrub the tub and it’s no longer grimy.

How about you? What’s been beautiful in your world this week?

a clean tub is a mighty sight to behold! I did not know you played volleyball, I loved that sport in HS. I hope you have a wonderful fourth of July weekend!

My least favorite job in the house is tub cleaning. I salute you for your cleanliness! It was a weekend of some very good spinning here!

@karen: I’ve played on a school volleyball team through my first year of college, after which I gave it up because they wanted players to start doing things like going to the weight room and training in the off-season, which seemed like an inconvenient use of my precious college days. I picked it back up recreationally about six years ago and am really glad I did.

@AsKatKnits: I’m a big fan of not cleaning anything, but sometimes you just have to take a stand and say, “Ew! I can’t take another shower with this looking this way!”
