After three days of having what I believed to be the flu, my throat developed white spots and I got a red rash on my chest. No doubt about it — strep.

Swallowing hurts. Talking is now done in a whisper. I don’t want to eat. I can’t sleep.

No wonder my boss sent me home from work today…

I look like those one of those crazed lunatics in their mug shots where you wonder how many substances they’re on. I feel not like death warmed over, but more like death warmed over, allowed to grow cold again, and then left on the floor in the hopes that the dog will eat it.

But there’s nothing wrong with my sense of humor!

Sorry to hear you are ill. There are two major infections going around town right now: one with cold-respiratory-sinus symptoms and the other a nauseous flu. No fun being sick any time, but especially in the summer. Those always seem to linger.

Argh, get thee to some antibiotics woman. I used to get strep 3 or 4 times a year until they yanked my tonsils. I haven’t had it since but instead I get the lovely sinus infection 3 or 4 times a year. Yesterday I got hit by a sneak speed attack and whammo, sinus infection has descended. Hope you are well quick!

oh no! get better quick! one remedy i use to clear the white out is to gargle with either warm water and salt, or lemon juice and salt…

Poor you! Get some antibiotics before you get R sick and rest! Lots of rest (read: knitting time!). Feel better.
